The Academy of Children’s Theatre ”Troupe” performance group is presenting the highly regarded play, “Every 17 Minutes the Crowd Goes Crazy” on Friday, March 21 at 7 p.m. at ACT. The funny but compelling production is written by Paul Zindel, and features a family of startled kids who are left to fend for themselves by their parents who have taken off to pursue their own selfish interests.
The production includes a distinctive chorus that punctuates the story with hilarious and stinging sound bites in this highly theatrical and poignant exploration of parental abdication.
ACT’s Troupe is an auditioned group of high school youth who work together throughout the year honing their acting skills. The show is appropriate for a middle school and older audience. Tickets will be sold at the door for $6.00 each. Box office opens at 6:30 p.m.
