Thanks to a very generous grant from AREVA, ACT offered a two-week Spectrum On Stage summer workshop for children
on the autism spectrum. ACT instructor Julie Schroeder recently obtained her official certification as a teacher qualified to work with autistic students.
The workshop was full with fifteen students, ages 6 to 19. The participants worked creatively and diligently to produce set design, costumes and all the artwork for their end production show of “Where The Wild Things Are.” The show packed the ACT Theatre, and delighted an audience of family, friends, supporters, and ACT staff. ACT would like to continue to offer these
exceptional opportunities for students on the autism spectrum, crossing our fingers for more grant funding!
