The Academy of Children’s Theatre is staging a special production of the Shakespeare classic, “Twelfth Night” February 27th, March 6th and 7th at 7 p.m. at the ACT Theatre, 213 Wellsian Way in Richland. Matinee performances at 3 p.m. will be offered on Saturday, February 28 and March 7. There will be a special Student Night performance on Thursday, March 5 at 7 PM; all tickets are $5 with a student ID. A multi-faceted story of twins separated in a shipwreck, Twelfth Night is a comedic romp featuring mistaken identities and romantic sub-plots.
Tickets are now available on line at www.academyofchildrenstheatre.org, by calling 509-943-6027, or by visiting the ACT office. Ticket prices are $13 for adults, $10 for seniors (65+) and youth (13-18), and $7 for children under age 13.
The ACT production features a cast of 20, ages 13 to adult. This version of Twelfth Night will take place during the Golden Age of Piracy, and staging, costumes, and set design will reflect that theme. Directed by award winning director Ellicia Elliott, this entertaining and engaging production of Twelfth Night runs under two hours and will appeal to middle school age audience members and up.
