Production Fees

Audition Workshop Dates

Updated Production Fee Structure for 2026-2027

Our participation fee is a total of $240; this can be paid all at once or broken down in 2 parts for ease of payment.

Part 1: $140 is due by the first rehearsal. Payment can be made online or in person.

Part 2: $100 due by the first day of Tech Week. Can be paid in the following ways:

  • by ticket sales,

  • volunteering to lead an area of design

  • Merchant ad for the show program.

No student has ever been turned away due to the inability to pay. Scholarships are available. Please contact josh@actstaff.org or lisa@actstaff.org for more details.

  • Plot Summary for Frozen: The Broadway Musical: In the beautiful mountainous kingdom of Arendelle, Princesses Anna and Elsa grow up sheltered inside their castle, isolated from the world and increasingly distant from each other. When Elsa is crowned queen, the magical powers she’s desperately tried to conceal from her sister take control, and she flees into the mountains. As a ferocious winter descends on Arendelle, Anna sets off on an epic journey to find Elsa and bring her home – with the help of hardworking ice harvester Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and a happy-go-lucky snowman named Olaf. Full of magic, humor, and a stunning musical score, Frozen is a powerful tale of sisterhood, acceptance, and finding the real meaning of true love.

  • Plot Summary for Elf Jr.: Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn't even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern-day holiday classic is sure to make every young performer embrace their "inner elf!"

  • Plot Summary for James and the Giant Peach: When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach... and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach, among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities, but after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean, the group faces hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James' quick wit and creative thinking, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building.

  • Plot Summary for Harriett the Spy: Harriet M. Welsch is a spy. In her notebook, she writes down everything she knows about everyone, even her classmates and her best friends. Then Harriet loses track of her notebook, and it ends up in the wrong hands. Before she can stop them, her friends have read the always truthful, sometimes awful things she’s written about each of them. Will Harriet find a way to put her life and her friendships back together?

  • Plot Summary for Frank N’ Steve: Frank N’ Steve is a brand new play based on the classic novel by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein. Our play takes this beloved classic and puts in a modern day middle school! When lonely Frank gets a wild idea to make a new friend, Steve, it’s the start of a beautiful friendship… or is it? This tale of friendship is the perfect new way to explore this classic tale.

  • Plot Summary for A Year with Frog and Toad Kids: This whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.
